Today I am going to review a product I wanted to have for a really long long time. No seriously! I mean I had been asking everybody on every social platform for its availability. I even wrote to The Nature's Co. (TNC) people once on Twitter :) But everywhere it was out of stock :( Read along why I was so keen on buying this.
About The Nature's Co.
TNC is an all-natural brand founded by Natasha Shah. They have a huuuge range of skincare and haircare products. Read more about the company here .
White Tea Night Cream
Qt: 50 ml
Price: Rs 895
This is a highly raved about product and so is one of the bestsellers of TNC. I am a big time hoarder of skincare products and the word natural is something I can't really ignore! I had read so much about TNC that I had to try it. I was looking for a night cream. Although I was using Forest Essentials Jasmine Patchouli then, I wanted to try something different. But this particular was nowhere available and I bought FE again. Two weeks back, I saw it on Jabong, and without wasting a second, I bought it!
The product comes well-sealed in a sturdy tub. The packaging is quite interesting with a square lid, that fits on top with a click. There is a stick-in cap as well that keeps the product intact.
This cream belongs to the Atmosphere range. According to the company website,
"Inspired by pure air this range pays tribute to the soothing and calming feeling that comes from the purity found in the atmosphere. The oxygenating process of the products in this range makes your skin breathe, thereby leaving you feeling pure and almost floating on air."
Product Description (on the website)
Their manufacturing unit is in Dehradun! Well many of really good skincare brands have their manufacturing units in Dehradun. I have seen all (obviously from outside!), as I have been to Selaqui so many times. I know it means nothing but I feel good about it :)
My Experience
Skin type: Dry-Combination (summers) to very dry (winters)
White tea is considered really good for skin as it is rich in anti-oxidants, which actually prevent your skin from every damage you can think of! Read more about white tea benefits here.
This is the heaviest yet the lightest cream I have used till date! Let me explain :) The texture is really thick, but soooo soft, really smooth: Amul cheesespread! that's the best and closest match I can think of, and I am serious! It absorbs nicely, moisturizes brilliantly, but....is matte after application. Isn't that good?
The first time I applied it without looking into the mirror (I was watching Supernatural, couldn't turn my head :)), and so had no clue. Anyway I was thinking that my face must be looking like an oil well, but then my husband asked me about my funny-looking eye brows! And when I looked into the mirror, they were funny! But then I noticed that it was the cream, really matte. No greasiness, and perfectly moisturized skin.
In the morning, the face is well lit-up and not dry. I don't know how it is going to perform in harsh Dehradun winters. But right now I am loving it. My skin texture has definitely improved in 2 weeks, no more bumps and dry patches, although I know I can't use it in summers.
What I like
1. Only a little is required for each application, easily absorbed, moisturises yet mattifies.
2. Works on improving texture.
3. All natural, paraben-free.
4. Peta certified.
What I don't like
1. Availability (particularly, this cream) is the biggest issue!
2. Price, though I got it at a much cheaper rate.
3. Only a single night cream available labeled as "for all skin types". No, it is certainly not for all skin types.
4. Tub packaging.
5. Complete ingredient list not disclosed.
Overall, this is exactly how a night cream (I am talking about dry skin) should be formulated. If you have dry skin but don't like the chip-chip of night creams, do use once.
Buy from The Nature's Co., Jabong, Flipkart, Purplle.
