K-beauty brand COSRX has long been praised for affordable, effective skincare rooted in science and simplicity. Today, we’re diving deep into two of their bestselling products: the Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner and the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid.
Price: Propolis toner (INR 835), BHA liquid (INR 900), prices vary as usual

Rating: 3.9/5
🧴 COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (100 ml)
🌼 What It Is:
A gentle but effective chemical exfoliant with 4% Betaine Salicylate (a milder form of BHA) that clears out pores, smooths texture, and targets blackheads and whiteheads.
📦 Key Highlights:
-
Betaine Salicylate (4%): A gentler BHA derivative that exfoliates inside pores without excessive dryness.
-
Willow Bark Water: Natural BHA source with soothing benefits.
-
Niacinamide: Brightens skin and helps with post-acne marks.
-
Sodium Hyaluronate: Offsets potential dryness.
💧 Texture & Feel:
-
Lightweight, non-sticky, serum-like, but has a light oily consistency
-
Absorbs quickly, fragrance-free, non-irritating for most users.
✅ Pros:
-
Targets clogged pores, blackheads, and rough texture
-
Gentler than salicylic acid
-
Can improve acne scars and tone over time
-
Well-suited to oily, combo, or acne-prone skin
❌ Cons:
-
Can cause purging (temporary breakouts in the first 2–3 weeks), might be harsh on sensitive skin, specially in hot humid months
-
Drying if overused — start 2–3x per week
-
Requires sunscreen daily due to increased sun sensitivity
💬 Final Verdict: Worth It?
Both the toners are good in their own way, as they serve two different purposes. Personally speaking, for my sensitive skin, BHA liquid was a little hard to tolerate. I used this only once a week, at night. And avoided this on peak hot days. Propolis toner on the other hand was a tad heavy for my combi- leaning-towards-oily skin in the monsoons. But I am so looking forward to using this in Fall.
Used correctly, they balance hydration and exfoliation — two essentials for healthy, glowing skin.
-
Choose the Propolis Toner for glow, hydration, and calming benefits.
-
Use the BHA Power Liquid for deep pore-cleansing, blackhead reduction, and smoother texture.
Are these going to be a repurchase? I don't think so; not because they are not good, but because there are so many better products in the market.
