The Go-to Sunscreen (Forest Essentials Indian Rose & Marigold Light Day Lotion)

My love for Forest Essentials grows every time I try a new product!
According to Forest Essentials,*

Forest Essentials Light Day Lotion is a silky light weight lotion that steeps into the skin easily leaving it soft and smooth with a non-greasy feel. It contains Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha and Gokharu along with Almond, Wheat germ and Olive oils which not only provide nourishment but also prevent the skin from the damaging effect of free radicals. Regular use of this light day lotion helps your skin to retain its natural texture by repairing the damaged cells and giving an even toned skin with the light fragrance of Rose and Marigold.

You can read more about the product here.

It's a light but moisturising day lotion with spf 25. The texture is really soft, more like whipped cream leaning towards gel form. The ingredient list is what I admire in all Forest Essentials products. It's packed with some amazing things!

The most impressive quality is that it doesn't give you that white cast like other physical sunscreens. But if you use too much, it may make your skin greasy after an hour.
It really smoothens out skin and pores look smaller. I won't say it mattifies the skin; it gives a healthy glow!

Overall, it is good day lotion for this season. In winters, the moisturisation won't be sufficient; probably using this with a hydrating serum/oil underneath will work. I never get tans/burns while using this, but then I don't spend much time out in the sun.

At Rs 1595 (40 ml), price seems steep for a day lotion, but little goes a long way. Moreover, it is the only day lotion that suits my sensitive skin (read no dry patches, no itchy skin, no red bumps, no clogged pores; in short, happy skin :)).
