Product review

My skin type: Dry-combination (peak summers), severely dry (peak winters), sensitive (all year round)

Potion lotion is a light moisturizer which immediately hydrates the dry skin. There are few things to be considered:

1.  First of all, it is marketed as a winter cream. So you think that it's that moisturizing cream that your skin is going to love in harsh winters. No, not true. I live in  Dehradun and I know what harsh winters are. Don't forget that it is called a lotion, so the consistency and the hydrating properties are that of a lotion! Texture is smooth. I just love how it absorbs nicely. But I think this a great product to use during the transitioning weather, you know that Summer to Winter, Winter to Summer time, when your skin starts behaving weirdly, mine does at least. In Dehradun, winters are slowly approaching,  so for me this is the best time to use it as a night cream.

2. During the day, it makes my face oily, specially the T-zone. And in the coming months, it won't be sufficient for my dry skin. Also, there is no mention of sun protection. So, I avoid using it during the day. One can opt for sunscreen over it. But then, for me it will be like serum, lotion, and sunscreen. And I hate putting more than two things on face.

3. The best thing about this is that it is completely organic! It has a quite simple but potent ingredient list. I have sensitive skin and and it suits me. But don't expect too much from it. There are many other factors involved that affect your skin.

3. Price and availability might be an issue for some as you'll get it only on Fab Bag - not on any other online store or in any retail store. Also, products are out of stock. When I talked to a Fab Bag person after the delay in order shipment, she gave me an honest answer. Naked products are preservative free, completely organic (need refrigeration!), and almost all have a shelf life of 3 months. So they are not stocked like products from other brands. They should have a particular number of orders so that they can be made in batches and shipped ASAP. So one has to really wait sometimes.

4.  One thing that I didn't like has already been changed! The size :). How can you finish a 130 g jar of lotion in just 3 months (unless you use it for hand and body too or have a big family!). Now it comes in a 70 g jar :). But if you look at the price, it is slightly higher now. Some people don't like the glass jar. Well I haven't broken any till date, so I am happy!
All in all, right now it is the perfect night cream for me.
