Forest Essentials (FE) is always on every skincare junkie's wishlist. It's like you use it once and you keep coming back!
This FE Eternal Youth Formula, Date & Litchi, is the most suitable for dehydrated skins. It's basically a night cream full with some fantastic ingredients.
According to the brand,
Eternal youth formula contains Date and Litchi fruit which are soaked in pure Rosewater in clay pots buried under the ground to ferment. It also contains potent Ayurvedic anti aging herbs, roots & Saffron to make a formula which attracts and retains moisture while firming and toning the skin. While the cream is hand mixed, Mantras are chanted so that positive energy gets imbibed into the product.*
I have been using this every single night for the past 3 months (I have combi-dry skin, depending on the season). The cream is choc-full with some great ingredients and oils, and spreads smoothly without any pulling or tugging.
The texture is that of a whipped souffle. It instantly gets absorbed and leaves a thin oily layer if used too much. I would not recommend this to oily-skinned people. But again this can be perfect night cream for them in winters. In summers, oily skins would love Jasmine & Patchouli Night Cream, also reviewed on the blog earlier.
The price (Rs 2875 for 50 g) is a little hefty on the pocket, but this cream realllly last long! And the effects are praiseworthy too. It makes skin supple; I can say that because even after sleeping in the AC air, in the morning my skin feels bouncy fresh. In the long term, it has diminished the fine lines on my forehead. I don't have deep wrinkles at the moment, so can't comment on that. I have not noticed any brightening effects but this one definitely tones and firms. You can actually feel it!
And the smell...it's the most delicious fragrance ever! It's sweet, not sickly sweet, not tangy. Just heavenly sweet. I just can't move past this smell :). Please don't eat it if it tempts you to :P
Overall, money well spent and a sure repurchase. What are your favorite night creams at the moment?
